It is difficult to keep up with the quickly changing weather. The sun is out less and the air gets colder. It can be very difficult to find a way to help our skin stay beautiful. I’m not gonna lie I used to not take very good care of my skin, especially during the winter. I’ve been getting better and better about my skin and one of the biggest parts of that was wearing less makeup which you can read about in This POST. But here are some more important tips that I learned and products that I use for the winter.
Always have Chap-stick – have several. some in your bag, car, bedroom, etc. My lips get so dry all the time I constantly have to have some chap-stick or lip balm with me. One of my favorites is Skyn Iceland Berry Lip Fix . It makes my lips so soft and it has algae in it.
Apply Lotion Everyday – have some hand lotion in your bag at all times and make sure you moisturize your whole body everyday, especially after showering (the hot water can dry out your skin.) I usually keep AHAVA mineral hand cream in my bag all day and I get a store brand for body lotion.
Use A Gentle Facial Cleanser – I like to use a light but effective cleanser that isn’t too rough on my skin. Burt’s Bees deep cleansing cream has been my favorite for years it is perfect for sensitive skin and it helps calm inflamed skin.
Exfoliate Every Once in a While – Make sure you are getting rid of dead skin especially since it will dry up and clog your pores. Some people may not need to do exfoliate everyday but I know I need to use a micro-demembrasion tool every other day if not everyday to get rid of the dead skin.
Get Rid of the Bags Under Your Eyes – Idk what it is about this time of year that makes me look extra tired but I’m not about the look. I use CONTEXT Vitamin C All Day Eye Cream to help make me look a little more awake.
Stay Hydrated – your skin looses lots of moisture in the winter. make sure you are keeping up with your water intake especially on these cold days. Hydration is one of the main reasons so many people have bad skin, hair, nails, or health in general. Stay hydrated and cleanse the toxins out of your body.
