So, these past couple weeks I have been on a bit of a health kick and I thought it would be a good time to discuss health and fitness with you guys! Like I said in my previous post, I’m not often one who keeps up with their health, I’ve never really been unhealthy but I don’t often go out of my way to eat the healthiest things or exercise every day. And I think that’s a good thing.
I think it’s important to have balance in your life. If you feel like eating a taco, then eat a taco. If you feel like a salad, eat a salad. It’s important to listen to your body, if you need something more sustainable than a salad by all means eat something like a cheeseburger or whatever. And as far as exercise goes, I feel it’s important as well, but I used to feel guilty every time I didn’t run. Some days you should run and some days you should stay home and do something else. It’s good for us to exercise but we don’t really need to push ourselves everyday. If you don’t feel like going to workout today or going for a run, go for a walk instead. As long as you’re being a little active, it’s better than being lazy all the time.
Too many people dedicate themselves to exercising everyday and that’s all they live for and you know what good for them, but just because we aren’t that way doesn’t make us unhealthy or unfit. I feel like the most important thing to do is make sure we are taking care of ourselves so that we can feel and look good without any pressure to fit a certain image.
